!! By submitting a request for publication, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following points

Once you have read rule 1, you need to check your article to make sure it meets all the journal's requirements  - Requirements for articles. The text of the article (no more than 40,000 characters with spaces) can be quickly checked point by point:

  • titile - (if it is in Russian) should NOT be written in capital letters (except for proper names). In the title in English, the first letters of words should be capitalized (except for prepositions and articles). To help you - https://capitalizemytitle.com/.

  • authors - the last name and initials, order, ORCID (required) and affiliations are correctly indicated, as well as the author's e-mail for communication;

  • abstract - written in 1 paragraph;

  • keywords - 5-10 words and/or phrases;

  • text - from introduction to list of references:

    • references in the text to figures and tables - must be listed in order and placed before the figure or table. Make sure that all figures and tables are referenced in the text.;

    • references in the text to literary sources - check that all sources listed are mentioned in the text. And, conversely, all references in the text have a description of the source in the bibliography. The bibliography must include DOI (if not, EDN or URL) for all sources.

  • acknowledgements - check if you forgot to indicate the source of funding;

  • references - make sure that all references to sources are mentioned in the text.

№ 3 

After checking the article, you can proceed to creating a personal account (instruction). If you already have a personal account, you can click on the "Submit manuscript" button in the upper right corner or "Send request for publication" on the main page. For further actions, you need to log in to your personal account. Click the "Create" button - enter the title of the article - "Save". The following form will appear in front of you, in which you need to fill in only those fields that are indicated under the asterisk*: 

  • Metadata. If the article is written in Russian, the metadata must be filled in both Russian and English. If the article is written in English, the metadata must be filled in English only (including the "in Russian" field).

  • Authors. It is necessary to indicate all authors of the article, in the order in which they are presented in the article. Full names of authors must be filled in both Russian and English. All authors must indicate ORCID and place of work (official name) in two languages. For foreign authors, all fields "in Russian" and "in English" must be filled in English only.

  • Text. You can skip this point, you do NOT need to upload the text of the article. 

  • Files. Upload in .docx and .pdf format only the article with all figures and tables, which are arranged in the order they are mentioned in the text, and a list of references. Type - text of the work.

  • References. This point can be skipped. 

  • Classifiers. It is important to indicate all the article classifiers for the items presented there. The headings must correspond to the main theme of the journal - Earth Sciences.

  • Preview. Check if all the fields are filled in according to the instructions above. If yes, you can click on the "Submit manuscript" button. Select Russian Journal of Earth Sciences and send "publication request". You will be able to edit the request only after the editors send it back for you. Your article will have the status - "Returned on completion".

№ 4

After you submit your application for publication, after some time you will receive a letter from rjes@wdcb.ru stating that your article has been received by the editors of the Russian Journal of Earth Sciences.

The article will be under review and then will either be sent for review or rejected. The article status in your personal account will not change, the article will be "Under review". After all reviews of the article have been received, the editors of the journal will send you a letter with reviews to revise the article. Authors are given 3 months to revise the article. If after 3 months the author does not respond to the editors' letters, the article will be rejected.

№ 5

When your article is accepted for publication, you will receive a letter from the editors asking you to send an archive with the necessary materials for publication. After that, the article will be queued for printing. If you are interested in urgent publication (within 7 working days), you can use a paid service. More details:
